Bobby's Biggest Hits As far as we're concerned, Bobby Rydell was definitely the first of the "groovy guys" (along with the other Bobby Darin, of course). One of the original pack of teen idols (and that was in a time where teen idols not only had to look good, but also had to have musical chops), Bobby had an amazing nineteen "Hot 100" hits during the '60s. Although he may now be best remembered as his nebbish-y alter-ego, Hugo Peabody in the film of Bye, Bye Birdie, he was, and is, the pure embodiment of sixties "hip". Fine. You're right. The title of this CD compilation is a misnomer. After all, where the hell is "Volare"? On the other hand, it's the only collection that seems to include the influential "B" side of "Sway", the quite astounding "Groovy Tonight". "Volare" or "Groovy Tonight"? As far as we're concerned, it's no contest:
