Hello, Hello The Best of Claudine Longet Personally, we'd prefer to just have the first of Claudine's A&M recordings. But unless you want to pull out your turntable, it's not likely to happen. You see, the only way to get it right now is in a Japanese (of course) re-issue on CD that's expensive enough to discourage anyone other than the most slave-ish Claudine devotees. (The link is at the bottom for any of you who may feel so inclined.) This compilation does have most of Claudine's psuedo-hits, but, frankly we really, really miss some of the cuts from that first album..."Here, There and Everywhere" (which is available on other compilations); as well as a couple of fab oddities which seem to be available nowhere ("Sunrise, Sunset", "My Guy"). Well, on the other hand, this compilation does include what is very likely the only vocal recording of "Sleep Safe and Warm" (the lullabye from Rosemary's Baby)... so maybe it ain't such a bad trade-off after all.
